First of all, you can be sure of getting the best value for money on the west coast in addition to simple beauty, spotlessly clean rooms and comfy beds. Acheninver Hostel sleeps up to 23. You can chose from two shared dorms in The Croft House, or two private rooms in The Bothy making us ideal for groups, independent travellers and families.
Acheninver is a walk-in hostel, 300m along a rough track leading down to a secluded beach at the foot of the Garbh Choireachan Ridge. There are easy and challenging mountain and coastal walking routes accessible directly from the hostel. Muddy walking boots welcome and there’s a drying room on-site.
We are a family run hostel (Ruth, Iain, Calum, Zoe and Spook the Cat) open March to November for independent travellers and all year round for group hire. We live full time in the village and are available to help you if needed.
Gratitude to the Scottish Youth Hostel Association for running Acheninver as such an amazing heritage hostel for 79 years. We are enjoying carrying on the tradition of hosting visitors to Coigach and hope to continue for many years to come.
