Project Description
spend your time…
We are surrounded by some of the best hillwalking, rock climbing, sea kayaking, diving and fishing on the West Coast of Scotland (and in the world!). For artists and photographers the spectacular scenery, changing light and diversity of wildlife, provide inspiration in all weather and seasons. Why not add a few miles to your NC500 bike trip for an ‘off the beaten track’ taste of the wild west. We provide an outdoor bike stand at the hostel and the loan of a D-lock and waterproof bike cover.
Coigach-Assynt is recognized as an International Dark Sky Place where the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye. We regularly see mesmerising displays of the Northern Lights and just about qualify for ‘Land of the Midnight Sun’.
At the hostel we offer you a break from the daily grind with no WiFi, poor mobile reception and no TV. Instead we offer a warm stove, board games, books, music, community, ever-changing sky, and an expanse of coastal wilderness, where you can explore all day or sit and bask in #wildcoigach.
