The Book Now buttons take you to our online booking system hosted by freetobook.  All rates and availability are up to date. Payment for your booking will be taken 48 hrs before your arrival and a receipt emailed to you. Card payments are processed by the leading secure payment platform STRIPE.  Direct bookings can be modified or cancelled for free up to 48hrs before arrival. Bookings on OTA platforms are subject to a surcharge for flexible terms.

We don’t allow pets at the hostel, sorry about that

The hostel may not be suitable if you have very young children or  mobility issues.

Acheninver is not on the road, so no traffic or busyness. Park in the safe roadside free car park and walk 5/10 mins down a mountain track and over a narrow bridge to the hostel building. 

All bedding, linen and towels are provided with your booking. You will need to bring food with you for your stay.  You can use the microwave, kettle and mini fridge in your pod and you have a firepit with grill outside.  Charcoal, bags of firewood and kindling are available to buy onsite. There is a fully equipped shared kitchen in the main hostel building open for cooking from 7am-10am and 4pm-10pm.

If you would like to eat out contact Am Furan Bar to book a table. This is a 15min drive from the hostel carpark. The Summer Isles Hotel is closed for the 2026 season.

Acheninver Hostel is famous for it’s remote location on the Ben Mor Coigach Wildlife Reserve, in the North West Highlands UNESCO Geopark and part of the Wester Ross UNESCO Biosphere…also the Wester Ross Marine Reserve in front and basecamping for the largest designated Wildland and Dark Sky area in the UK.
